Was going to buy a thermometer that's Nist certified to calibrate my apex probe. But was thinking on just using my fluke multimeter to get temp reading. Anybody know if these are accurate enough? Or have used a fluke then a certified thermo?

fluke multimeter
Without sounding too biased as I work for the parent company that owns fluke and yes we use a whole slew of fluke products, yes it's more than accurate enough to use as a calibration unit for a temp probe... the caveat being you've had the instrument calibrate every year as recommended by the manufacture.

Edited:
I misspoked it's every two yrs. sorry about that!

Not one of our video but quick and easy how to:

Thank you, I have not calibrated it. I googled but didn't find anything really helpful. Can you explain easy way to calibrate?

Can you explain easy way to calibrate?
...we send them out yearly for calibration directly to fluke but, look around and I'm sure you can find a 3rd party approved vender to do it.

How old is the unit you have?
...might not need it.

Look up ESSCO if you really want to have it cal.--->link
