Flukes or Not

So, I have a nice Pink tail trigger in QT now. As I was feeding him this morning I noticed these worm looking things on his eyes (both). Not sure if they are flukes or not. Can someone assist with identification of this. Hopefully its nothing.

Not flukes then. Could be Lympho on his eye: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/lymphocystis.257461/

A 5 min FW dip will tell you definitively whether or not it is anything worm-like: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/freshwater-dip.248898/

If it is a worm, the freshwater dip will force it to detach from it's host.

So with Lympho, doesn't it have a physical trait of cauliflower form? This actually looks like a worm. I hoping its Lympho, i just want to make sure. There are some on his fins as well so it is very possible Lympho. I have him in copper now, will a fw dip restart my clock?

Nope, just put him right back in the QT w/copper after the 5 min FW dip. We'll have more answers after the dip.

did you match temperature and ph of your qt for the freshwater dip? perhaps some air would be good too

I run an air stone for an hour before I do the dips. Not sure if the PH matched exactly.

I did complete the FW dip and I think it was a success. See pic for what popped off the fish. There's 4 white dots in the bucket. One thing that concerns me, when I put him back in the QT tank, I saw one fly off his eye. Do you think it's dead or should I do a water change to suck it out?

I'm no capacity of giving you further treatment tips but I'm sure humblefish will be back and give you the best treatment option: )

Prazipro should take care of the little blank!

No need for a water change.

Agree. If the white things are (mostly) gone following the FW dip, dose Prazipro or GC to finish the little jerks off!

Yes, just watch out for a bacterial bloom (cloudy water) occurring.
