For the future LIMIT FW dips to 5 minutes. It already causes stress to fish and will extend it. The fish I hate to say appears moribund which is similar to state of comatose. This is not behavior of flukes which would be clamped fins, flashing, darting , scratching and red gill, and a yawning effect.
Many of these type of wrasses courtesy Of Jay encounter UNWD which shows neurological symptoms where it either cannot swim well, swims tail down or swims with a bent spine and despite all this, the wrasse will still attempt to feed and display no damage such as crashing into objects. Other could be depending where fish is from, cyanide capture which is delayed but the fish ends up in this state

I agree, it's probably UNWD unfortunately. It's rare to see a fish recover from a loss of equilibrium. This happened to an orange-back I got in 2020. I just thought he hit his head on the lid or something until I saw Jay's article and realized I wasn't alone. He survived for about 2 more weeks and showed interest in food, but didn't or couldn't eat it. He could only swim upwards a little bit and was usually angled up. Until he died I just thought I was keeping a "parapelagic" fish.

Darn it.

I agree it looks like the numerological wrasse thing. It makes me want to give up on fairy wrasses

So it’s day 3 since symtoms started, during reading about this disease, no one mentions the fish staying upside down. It is still breathing but stays floating upside down. It will float around until it ends up in the corner of an acclimation box then it will use its pectoral fins to get back out into the open and resume just floating all while never uprighting itself….blows my mind.
