Fluorescent lights question

I'll be back back to basic and going for t5 light but i have a question i hope somone here can help me with

I wonder how long you have or recommend having the light on?

How high above the surface?

And what I wonder about is which light bulb combo would you recommend to a 100% sps dominated aquarium?

I have purchased a new ATI t5 lamp and im going for the ATI fluorescent.

Id keep the lights on 12 hours like the reef gets. Someone else will know the distance, if not use your eyes.
