I have a Biocube 29 and have three small clumps of macroalgae growing on the rocks. The algae is leafy and deep red in color. It appears to be slow growing so far. But the most interesting thing is that it is fluorescing orange at the tips until the actinics. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I'm inclined to keep it unless I hear from someone that it's undesirable.

After looking up pictures, I'd say that's almost certainly what I have. Everything I read says that its desirable and not invasive. That's a pretty lucky hitchhiker to have. Thanks ngvu1 for the tip.

As a follow up: this turned out to be dictyota algae and became a nuisance due to both overgrowth and providing a breeding ground for Zoa eating amphipods. I treated with Algaefix and a toothbrush and it completely eradicated my nuisance algae without any negative side effects.
