Okay, first I just want to say my mind works in weird mysterious ways when it comes to design and creativity. I'm constantly looking at things and wondering how to make them better, so in the aquarium hobby it's never ending.

Recently, I acquired a Fluval Edge 12 gallon tank because I love the look, and I think the top glass "window" into a Nano Reef world would be phenomenal, especially for young "reefers". I know, I know, it's not really practical given all the limitations the tank possesses. But...that's when my creativity, design and ingenuity wheels start to spin. I want to turn this basic tank into a full system with an lighting, overflow and sump. I have several ideas, but wanted to know if anyone else has tried, successful or not, in modifying this tank.

Let me know. Attach photos if you have some.

No experience with this tank but several users have them, so I will give you a bump. FWIW, I have seen several decked out Pico and Nano tanks around the site with sumps and all.

Any updates on this? I have the same tank but haven’t gotten around to adding corals. Been running it with live rock and a canister filter for several years. That tiny opening on top is a real pain for doing in tank maintenance. Recall seeing a video of someone having success after removing the top glass but that defeats your vision.
