Can I use 1/8 acrylic in place of glass on a 17 gallon aquarium

So, i am building a 17 gallon aquarium, in place of my old freshwater aquarium. This is designed to be an AIO aquarium. Can I use 1/8" acrylic instead of 1/4" acrylic for the whole structure
