Happy corals, how is the evaporation with the Nicrew light?

Not bad I dump a cup load every other day no need for a top off I pay super close attention always check my salinity daily.

The stock light isn’t bad but does limit you. Nicrew makes a ramp timer for the stock light if that’s something your interested in. I have tried many lights on mine but ended up going with the AI Prime HD16. You can’t beat the customization you have with this light. It’s well worth it and good for my setup. Keep researching but keep in mind if you upgrade the light you need a cover (if you have jumpers)and an ATO so there are some extra costs with upgrading. You don’t need them but makes everything much easier. Good luck!

It's crazy how much evaporation happens daily without the hood! Every day I add 2- 16 ounce cups of RO water. Definitely getting a ATO! Mostly to prevent fluctuations

I had a ton of evaporation before removing the hood, but I never used the hood over the 3 chambers. I am not really seeing much more after though... so if you can cover that area it might help.

I added XR15 G5's to my evo - shot below, but almost nothing was open/extended since I quickly threw the lights on to take a photo. Lights have been off for like 4-5 hours now. The intention of the XR15 is to eventually go on a 40B, but I figured why not get some use out of it?
