I want to purchase the intank chambers for the fluval 13.5 but I keep seeing mixed reviews on them. Some saying they work great while others saying it's just a waste of money.

Does anyone here with the chambers be able to provide their experience with it and if it would be ideal to have both chambers or just one?

I had the intank for Chamber 1. It was OK, but a little misaligned and I couldn't get the flow just right. I ended up ordering one of these instead. Not only is it cheaper, but it works a LOT better in terms of fit and directing flow. If you join the Fluval 13.5 Gallon Evo XII Owners Group on Facebook, the guy who makes them is a member and frequent poster (Josh). He has tested and tweaked them in his own tanks (He also makes a Chamber 2 basket, but I don't use it).

Personally, I think the Chamber 2 basket is unnecessary, but other people like them. I have a little bit of rock rubble in Chamber 2 and am probably going to add some Mangroves (mostly for aesthetics).

Thanks! I just placed my order for one. I might do the same as you and put a mangrove in my second chamber. Right now I just have a bunch of filter floss in it.

No? Some people put up their models for purchase for smaller fees.
Not to plug my own thread, but check out my build thread through my badge under my name. I've 3d printed a boatload of parts for my evo. I've included links with my experience and tweaks. Should help you quite a bit!
