Hey guys! Just signed up, but have been following alot on this forum.

Staeted my Fluval a month ago and everything seemed fine until i started upgrading my filtration and return pump. Got an intank media basket for the 1st chamber and a sicce 0.5 as an upgrade to the return pump. I started getting mad microbubbles. I then started trouble shooting, now Im pretty much back to the stock things. The microbubbles have reduced to like ~30% but cant reach a point of 0. The water levels are high, tried putting a filter floss in the return chamber but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas on how to approach it? Its actually disheartening

Microbubbles will clear up over time aslong as there is no pump taking in any air, if you have a protein skimmer, check that - if the return is opened up fully, it'll just spit out bubbles - also is that an ornament i see on the right side? Looks like its in the tank.

Be 100% sure that it's made for saltwater, as freshwater ornaments in a saltwater tank will almost certainly leech chemicals into your tank

Thanks for the reply man! Yea I hope it does go away. No protein skimmer, read alot of comments on this forum as to why not put in thw skimmer and just do water changes every week. Also no ornaments, everything outside. Its the Eiffel tower haha its outside the tank. Just the live rock inside and the fish with a GSP colony

It looks better under

Looking good keep up the good work. Evos are fun tanks. Here is a shot on mine for ideas on what can be done with them.

I tried everything with the setups. But I could dial down the amount of bubbles but cant see an end to it. Went back to stock pump and im planning to stay with it(recommended by the LFS).
