Fluval 13.5 over flow question

Is it normal for my water level to be about half way or a little more in the over flow chambers. Do I need more water in tank? Do I need to remove the skimmer tool that goes on the grate lines on the over flow. Or do I need a upgraded pump

Have you been compensating for evaporation? The chamber levels will drop as water evaporates from the tank

No evap I check my salinity daily

When I remove water from the display side it drops the level in the chambers. I would add some water and see if your chamber level raises.
