I have my sea evo 13.5 and I'm wondering why my overflow looks so pitiful ? It is meant to just be hardly drizzling through the overflow and down the wall ? Because that's about all I'm getting. Or am I made to have an actual waterfall effect that comes crashing down?

I have 2 pumps the standard one that came with the sea evo 13.5 and I have the sicce 1.0 I've used both if them and the power of my overflow is the exact same the water is just drizzling over and down the back wall, no waterfall effect.

If I add water to the main part of my tank to raise the overflow level it just fills up my media section and goes back to a calm drizzle

I cant even post a photo, my internet is absolutly garbage right now and is taking FOREVER to upload the photo here .

I also have a flow director on the way from intank and a #1 chamber basket from them aswell, not sure if this will make a difference with my issue.

I didn't have that problem with the Evo 13.5 overflow, my water level stayed relatively close to the top. I did only use one pump. Similar to you I replaced the standard with the sicce pump , have you tried just using one? What is your water level at in the main tank?

Part of me thinks there isn't enough water in the tank.

I am only using one pump, I was just stating I've tried both pumps separately and gotten the same result in terms of the power of my overflow.

My main tank level is about a half inch from the top and my media section is about 3/4 way to the top. I tried adding more water to the main section of my tank to increase the power of my overflow but all that happens is my media section just fills up.

Hmmm, I'm gonna dump water into my 13.5 to see if I can replicate what's happening to your tank. Do you have the overflow guard/control on? Remove it if you haven't already... Also have you blocked the little hole in the overflow area? I remember having a similar issue to you now, blocking that helped increase the flow in the tank.

I had this same issue with mine! I did not realize that the markings at the top represent minimum water level not maximum. So you want your water level to be like midway into the hash markings.
Also, clean up the intake slots if they have debris or algae.

I have the piece that slides up and down on my overflow? But I dont think that's the guard your referring to . I do not have the middle hole blocked off yet however I have a plug from intank arriving tomorrow to block that hole
