Oh I see! I guess I just didn’t read close enough lol. I take it that the 100g will last longer and be more effective in my 40B, then?

THAT I can’t say for sure… It would make sense that it would but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if that is in fact the case.
hopefully someone else can chime in on that.

As above but also first one seems to be designed to use in a certain fluval 5 stage filter and second in " external filters" like a canister filter but also to place in sump.
If press on either one and go bottom of page it says which filter or where to place each one, plus product specs etc.
Second one says bitumus carbon.just cooking food at mo so no more time to read what first one says it is,but if read product specs, technical data,it should say which carbon is what kind of carbon, then google that type of carbon, but not used any fluval carbon for years since had a hob filter that took cartridges for a freshwater tank so not much personal experience with fluval carbons in saltwater tanks.
After researching different carbons for my one and only reef tank ,I decided to go with red sea activated reef spec carbon

What would be the best carbon for a Seachem tidal 55, then? Because I’ve used Fluval carbon for so long but I then upgraded from my 13.5 Evo to a 40B, so all the equipment is different.

+1 on reef-spec by Red Sea. This is really good quality carbon and it will last you longer than the fluval brand. I’ve used both and saw much better water clarity and I also believe they have a higher porous area (Red Sea).

What filter are you using? A Fluval specific one? One looks to be for the Fluval c2 hob and the other is for a canister style filter. I

I used to have the Fluval Evo stock filter, in which I used the inTank baskets and put the carbon there. Now it’s the Seachem tidal HOB, so I don’t really know what kind of carbon would fit there.
