Fluval edge reef- led upgrade

Hi guys,

Just wondered if anyone had carried out an upgrade on the led's on 46litre/12g fluval edge? I have seen a few articles but most are dated... Any budding lighting genius's got any ideas?

I considered this LED a year back and glad I didn't get it. It might be okay to grow some low light corals like softies, but it's not that great of a light quality wise. The price is way too much for this light also IMO.

It'd go with an Ecoxotic Marine LED light fixture ($170) or a Kessil a150 ($225). Both are better lights for corals (not SPS though).

Now if you just want a light just for your fish, then go for it! I just think it's too high of a price for a fish only tank, though.

Opps thought you referring to a light inwas considering last year. Too early for me! But my point still stands. An ecoxotic Marine Led is a great light or a Kessil a150
