So I had this stand laying around from Bed Bath and Beyond. Was toying the idea of another Nano. I have done BioCubes and even one pain in the A** Fluval Edge it was a ton of fun.

The tank in my opinion is absolute crap. But it works. Intank Media Basket is coming soon one day for this tank. Anyways it’s been awhile. So I set it up the way I set up all my small tanks. Live Sand, Ocean Water as it’s cheap and cuts the cycle time down and this time Cycled Fake Reef Rock. Love the color.

Equipment
Stock with a Fluval Heater in Chamber 1 cuz the return pump Defintely rubbed me the wrong way.

Sicce Voyager Nano Corculation.

Now I do have plans for this tank. My first question is how is the rock scape. I’ll be adding another 2lbs of sand as I prefer a deeper bed. Second question. I really hate the way these chambers work. I’d like my water level in main display to be less but I can’t get it their with out drying out the sump.

Any advice would be great. This one will be what I always do. 2 clown fish. And the corals.

Part of the reason I’m asking is It’s 10.4 lbs of rock but I’ve never used artificial rock. I feel it may be a little much obviously my biocube has less. But probably weighs more since it was Fiji Live Rock set up along time ago.

Any advice would be nice. Biocube is doing great just want to see what you think on the EVO.

Also only reason I bought the tank cuz it was cheap. Lol and that cart I bought from bed bath and beyond a year ago. Holy crap perfect fit. So that’s kinda what I got myself into here. I have a Successful BioCube complete with an ATO etc but this is another project. Would you guys cut back on the rock to allow for more space. I have never used fake stuff. But it’s cycled has a good color. My thinking is 10.4lbs if this was real reef rock that amount would weigh more. I’m figuring it’s gonna be 11 pounds of sand maybe 12. And about 10.2 gallons of ocean water.

Rock looks good to me, definitely doesn’t look too much.

This this the tank with a hole in the back wall? Can that be blocked to lower the lvl?

Well I changed up the rock scape a bit. Not entirely happy yet. But I’m getting some ideas. We got Frog Spawn in yesterday. So far so good. Nothing is glued or permanent yet.
