This is my Fluval Evo 13.5 build (not really a build it was an aio tank). This is my first reef tank and it has been a blast so far. The tank has been up for 4 months as of the 25th, yes it was a christmas present.

So far the stocking in it is:
10 or 12 pounds of live rock give or take
10 pounds of caribsea live sand
1 (as my lfs calls it) Fancy SA clownish or better known as memo (yes with an m)
15 polyps of "wow" palythoa
3 polyps of "Sunny D" palythoa
1 chalice coral that is orange and green
1 red/green acan that is my fastest growing coral
3 snails of some sort
5 hermit crabs of some sort

The equipment:
Everthing is stock )except return pump marinland 1200 and hydor nano 425 i think)except the back compartment... I will upload some pics of that later. My next upgrade is the lights. I am looking at the Orbit Marine Led bar thing, or the Kessil a80.

I've had to battle some hair algae hence the snails.

My dad has a 40 long with a 20 sump that he set up a little bit after I set up my tank.

I hope this will grow and will turn into something special later! Thanks for stoping by and checking it out!

Definitely like the deep green polyps there.

I may have an A80 for you...;);)

figured i'd update what the back compartments are like

The idea is from the you tuber "Nano_joe". It is basically an upgrade from the sponge (if you have nitrates problems with you evo, this is probably why) which i took out almost imminently and replaced it with this.

So all it is is egg crate cut to shape with 3 platforms that you would put in the 2 chamber.

I have chemipure blue, and purigen, as well as the stock carbon that I thought it would be nice to keep

For the first chamber I have a small piece of live rock, and egg crate the has one platform on the top where I have bio balls polyester stuffing which is my mechanical filtration.

This is what it look like.

Haven't posted on here for a while now! It is going to be BIG update...

So first let's start put with the lights. I had initially gone with the orbit marine light fixture and was going to get their pumps and have the whole "loop" system which I though it would be pretty easy to upkeep. I had bought the light, and it had came broke! Costumer service was beautiful and they refunded my money, and I put that money to a kessil a80 (sorry reef rc would have bought it from you if I would have known about this whole situation!). The light came with the gooseneck, and was set up in less than 10 minutes. Here are some pics before?after. IMG_0545.JPG IMG_0546.JPG IMG_0542.JPG IMG_0540.JPG

Next new thing was some new corals!

Found a new LFS that has way better prices then the other one, and allowed me to get a frag of:
2 polyps of Purple PE
8 polyps of God of War Zoanthid
2 polyps of Alien Palythoa

I will try to be on more, and post more often!

Good choice on the light even if you did not got it from me :(;).

Frags are the way to go with this size tank. Looking good!
