Fluval Evo 13.5 Build

I’ve had a pair of rescued clownfish living in my sump for a few months and I thought it was time they get their own tank. Here’s the build:

Fluval Evo 13.5

I’ve really been liking the BRS videos with cheato fuges, so I’m going fuge only. I found an hydroponics lights that will work well.

I went with really limited rock work, as I’d like to add an anemone(s) to fill most of the space.

I’ll be adding some adhesive vinyl to the back in order to block out the fuge last longer light. As for the display, I have a older kessil a160 that I’ll use. However I’ll keep the light off during the cycle.

I’ll add some more photos when the fish are in.

I can second that light, I am running it on my Evo and it grows Chaeto like crazy.

Cool! I’d love to know how you find just chaeto working for nutrient control and what your other regular maintence ends up being. Thinking of setting up a small tank like this in a few months.

Funny, I just ordered the smaller version tonight off Amazon, and I just cancelled it and ordered the 24watt version instead since you guys are having success with it! I also just bought an intank tower for chamber one to put filter floss and carbon in. I was on tv fence between making an egg crate media rack or buying the intank... still thinking about canceling the in tank rack to make an eggcrate... another $55 to spend on corals
