hello just curious would an upgraded return pump and a random flow generator be sufficient for a fluval evo with no wave maker ?

What type of tank do you have in mind? LPS, SPS, Mixed? Depending on what you have planned might help in that determination. I found that even with an upgraded sicce 1.0 pump the flow wasn't enough I had a few dead spots once I had the aquascape setup. I got a Jaebo SLW10 to help... low form factor helped.
