Hey guys, I'm planning on getting a Fluval evo 13.5 soon and have seen 2 people say that the light overheats to the point that it heats the tank to the upper 80's. It's an LED light right? And LED's usually don't heat up a lot, or at all. I also haven't been able to find anything else (other than the 2) that says it overheats. Has anyone experienced this? And if you have, how do you counter it? Thanks :)

My experience with the EVO 13.5s extends to working with them in the two LFSs I've worked in, and the lights do get relatively hot on the outer casing of the LEDs, but never really enough to heat the water by a significant amount unless the temperature outside the tank was 75+ degrees F. Honestly you aren't going to have very many problems with it unless you somehow get a faulty light unit, but I always try to suggest people to eventually upgrade the stock light when they can to something like an AI Prime, NanoBox Duo, or a Radeon XR15, especially because it gives you a much more broad spectrum of corals to choose from. Hope this helps!
