i am thinking about putting corals in my tank
specifically: Torches, Hammers, zoas, and open to other opinions
would this light work?
where in the tank would I need to position some of the corals?
any advice helps
thanks

From what I’ve seen those corals should be good just about anywhere with the stock light. I have one sitting in my living room waiting to be set up but probably won’t be for at least 6 months sadly.

I am having great success with a couple of torches, couple frogspawn, zoos, mushrooms, cloves, and candy canes. I am surprised what you can keep in these setups. I am upgrading soon to a Reefer 200 simply because they need more room. Also that you can't control this light very easily. My torches are at about mid level in the tank.

What is the list of corals?

i love the layout
Here are the corals in the tank from top left to right:
Bizarro Torch (Top Shelf Aquatics)
Indo Hellfire Torch (Corals Anonymous)
Pink Frogspawn (Top Shelf Aquatics)
Green Tip Frogspawn (Top Shelf Aquatics)
Red Monti Cap (LFS)
Bottom
Rainbow Ricordea (Top Shelf Aquatics)
Green mushroom (LFS)
Orange Rodactics (ReefChasers, ship but local to me)
In the middle
Green Candy Cane (LFS)
Bottom Right
Some unknown Zoa, reddish (LFS)
Daisy Cutter Zoa/ Green Paly Explosion (Top Shelf Aquatics)
Around the side right you can’t see in the picture
Unknown Zoa, maybe Eagle Eye (LFS)

clowns are a Mocha Storm Cloud pair (LFS)
Royal Gramma (LFS)

I set the tank up in July and have been adding here and there. Can’t really add much more. I have run out of room and thought I just wanted a nano. I have a new RS Reefer 200 g2 I’m setting up at Christmas to move all this into and will allow me to add more.

slow and steady. Been happy with the setup but it is harder to do small tanks. Detritus builds under those arches and is hard to get out. I’ve been working on my scape for the Reefer with Marco dry rock and am excited by what I have built so far.

I have all I need to set it up. I haven’t gotten the skimmer yet. Haven’t settled on one yet but they all seem too much for the new tank. Won’t need it for a while.

I try to keep my alk around 9.5, I just manually add all for reef to maintain that. I use Instant Ocean Reef Crystals. I do a water change every week to two weeks. Trying to let it run a little more “dirty”. I don’t test phosphates yet but will in new setup. I use Red Sea AB+ a couple times a week. That’s about it.

Probably more than you wanted to know!
