This is my Fluval Evo at 3 1/2 months. Things are doing great. I've modified the filter sponge to fit more media an have been running the PS2 protein skimmer in chamber 1. I thought about removing the skimmer and adding more media but it is finally skimming well and the collection cup water is brown every time. So far no fish loss and only 2 corals are struggling. I think it's the light that came with the tank. I will be upgrading that ASAP. I'm going to go with the AI prime.

Please share about your Fluval Evo...I'd love to see what others are doing with this tank! Thanks guys!

I have the same tank. It's been up for about 9 months. After the first month we upgraded the light to a current orbit marine and the corals and my two BTAs love it. I want to add a skimmer eventually but for now the tank have been doing fine without it. I have some filter floss and cemipure blue in the first chamber and a heater in the last. I also added a Hydor koralia nano powerhead.

Looks great! What model and size is the current marine?

I have this tank as well.. been running for about 4 months. I will share picture later. I had the Current Marnie light on there for a few months but only have blues and whites was a down fall for me. I upgraded last week to the AI prime HD and WOW my corals have already opened up way more than I have seen since putting the first one in my tank. I don't have a protein skimmer but I do have the intank basket in chamber one.. top shelf filter floss.. middle Chemi Pure Blue with a poly pad on top.. bottom shelf Chemi Pure Elite and in the second chamber I have Marine Bio Spheres.

I REALLY Want the AI prime I'd. That's good to hear that your corals love it.

These are my settings throughout the day.. and have the lunar mode on from 12am-10am so if the moon is out it will reflect that during that time with the blue lights.

Do you have the Hydor 240 or 425?
