Fluval flex 15 saltwater conversion

I currently am converting my fluval flex 15 in saltwater I bought the in tank media basket I purchased compartment 1 and believe I should have bought chamber 2 so I can use a protein skimmer in compartment one any advise would be great I also have the fluval sea light coming and could use some advise on modifications to the factory hood.

i can't offer help on your fluval as i have 0 experience with this tank, but you are in the right place for information. i am sure some reefers here have experience with modifying a fluval.

Best advice I can give you is let the tank cycle Test then test and test again All your parameters before adding any live stock. And most importantly ask if you’re not sure of anything! The only stupid question is the one that isn’t asked! We are all here to help!

Thank you so much I really appreciate it this is the first tank I set up it's a biocube kinda learned as I went

Don’t be in a hurry to stock but take the time to get tank right and mature
