I am currently standing in Petco and I noticed they were selling Fluval LED lighting. Can I get some input from someone about these?

Would someone please give me an educated and or experienced opinion concerning this subject. As of now I currently own a marine land reef capable led light. It's definitely not the best light nor is it the worst. I'm looking for an upgrade and I was just curious as to what else would work for my setup. I have a 55g Reef with Softies, Palys, and Zoas. Thank you for you're prompt replies.

My educated response is not to purchase them and go with a quality, high-powered unit. You'd realistically need two of any unit to cover the full 48" length of a 55g.

Also, the Marineland light is about the worst, and the Fluval strips you're looking at are in the exact same ball park.

I would accept that answer. Thank you...

What about ZooMed T5s unit with only 2 bulbs. I've seen the 4-6 bulb units so I would imagine that the two bulb units would be crap as well.

I don't know as much with T5, other than you're looking at similar costs initially, and significantly higher costs the longer you have it.
