Hi everyone,

Its me again. So I recently bought a Fluval Marine 3.0 LED 25000 K and 59 Watts. I want to set it up so that it can help grow corals in my 55 gallon tank. I am not sure if everyone is familiar with this light. So there are three pre-set light profiles. They are called Deep Sea Glo (16% Pink, 100% Cyan, 100% Blue, 100% Purple and 0$ White), Sunny Reef (100% all colors) and Color Boost (68% Pink, 100% Cyan, 100% Blue, 85% Purple and 90% White). Based on the percentage of the colors, which one will be the best for growing health corals?

If I had to choose, I think I would go with Color Boost. My only concern there is the high amount of pink, a hue known to also grow algae.
2nd choice would be Deep Sea Glo, but that may be too blue.

You may find that you may need to supplement that fixture with another depending on which type of corals you are trying to grow.

@ndrwater So with the color boost, you will bring down the pink to about what percentage?
Also, is the color blue a bad thing? When I go to a majority of Fish stores, the display tanks always look blue. Is that to help grow corals or why is that?

Bring the pink down to 5-10% if possible, and no, the blue is not a bad thing. Blue is used, especially in stores, to bring out the flouresence in the corals.
The downside to heavy blue is that fish don't usually look as nice. A yellow tang can actually look gray.
