So, I picked up a Fluval M90 AIO yesterday to seton for my wife’s Valentini Puffer. I didn’t realize it had 4 compartments in the AIO. What do you recommend putting in the first 3 (last one is return pump)?

I’m looking at doing a small reef tank with some soft corals. All this is assuming the puffer will leave them alone.

Anyway, first run with an AIO instead of tank and sump, so this should be fun!

Section 1 - perhaps a 'block sponge' prefilter
Section 2 - is there a skimmer that would fit?
Section 3 - a space for carbon, GFO, or other things you might want to use in the future.

That is my suggestion:). Good luck with the new tank

I have this tank. From research it appears the first models had the first baffle the wrong way up, make sure the holes are at the bottom to force water down in first chamber.

My Setup
Chamber 1 - filter sock in homemade hanger, cage full of seachem matrix
Chamber 2 - Tunze skimmer, IM reactor (carbon + GFO), titanium heater, small pump for UV
Chamber 3 - cheato, IM cheato max grow light
Chamber 4 - return pump, ATO, dosing lines, heater temp probe
