Fluval marine light settings

I have the Fluval marine light and my corals seem to be doing pretty good but really haven't seen them grow and expand like they should. These are the setting I am using. What changes should I make?

What size tank? In general, you can raise the blue, purple, and cyan to max. Decreasing the red may help a little but I can't guarentee that.

I had a 65 G and couldn't grow stuff with the Fluval Marine light. My zoas stretched and nothing grew. It wasn't until I bought AIs things started to take off.

It is mounted in the hood that comes with the tank (I want to keep using the hood), so only about 2". The issue is that Fluval provides no guidance on settings for the light. Some people will say (just making the %'s up for the example) that they use 100% blue, 80% white, 5% red and it works well, others will say they use 50% blue, 80% white, 50% red. and it works well. I would like to find some solid advice or numbers for the light other than "this seems to work".

Have you tried calling Fluval? The only way of really knowing is by checking Par levels. Perhaps rent one from a LFS?

So, for example, do I want 100% blue and 0% red or perhaps 80% blue and 20% red, etc.? It's a total guessing game because Fluval doesn't provide any guidance at all. I just want some good advice about what mix of those colors is best to make my corals grow.

I did. The answer was basically that the best settings for any situation were the settings it came with. You can mess with them if you want to, but it won't make it any better. So, if you change anything, you're just making things worse.

Here is what the helpful follow-up email they just sent to me said: "Besides the presets provided under the "Export" button on auto, consumers have to just play around with the settings."

Ah ha! Same setup then .... I would think if this the only light on the OP's setup, it's not enough...
I'm using a 10K and a deep blue actinic Geismann, so similar spectrum would think....

If I had 2 running then I'd probably pull the t5, but it's just not good enough by itself in a 75 gallon
