Fluval P2

I have the fluval evo with the P2 skimmer I read the skimmer is not great. Issue I'm having is its dumping micro bubbles into the tank. For those that had or have it will that eventually stop?

It's not the greatest, no - but for the price it does a decent job. And you don't have a lot of options. yes, the microbubbles will stop at some point - you may need to play around with adjusting the skimmer height.

Try Bubble Magus miniQ, it's very compact with no unused space/contraption in its design and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it.
