I'm one of those people who goes the inexpensive route on wavemakers and lights. Seems to be working thus far so I'm staying the course. I have a Fluval Marine 3.0, Fluval Aquasky and the cheapo white LED bar that came with my tank. So I'm thinking of getting the Fluval Plant 3.0 to fill out strength in the spectrum that the other two lack somewhat and because I want to grow Mangroves. Seems like a really good fit and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the combo.

Since "normally" tanks with mangroves assume lights needing increased height above them these lights with their 120 degree dispersion are not ideal.
As you raise them up less and less light would get into the aquarium.
You might be better off adding a Viparspectra and using just the white channel. Opposite of the norm here.
That would add 55W (1 channel) of 90 degree light.

BUT helps if you define your current setup. LWH and what you are growing.
