Fluval Proflie tank, Reefsafe?

We picked up a fluval profile 72g tank for my g/f to start her own reef devoid of my hands lol. my question is now that i look at it more this tank is trimmed all the way around the top with aluminum.

is this gonna corrode or oxidize in the sw?

here is the stock image. the vertical trim rails don't have any real exposure to the water however the trim running horizontal along the top is aluminum also and is exposed on the inside. maybe I'm just worrying to much i dunno

Are you sure it's aluminum and not plastic?

Yea its aluminum. Sits right on the edge of the glass. Im thinking maybe spraying pond liner on it
