Fluval protein skimmer

So I got a fluval sea PS2 protein skimmer and accidentally forgot to unplug it while it was out the water when I was cleaning it. It's stopped working completely. It says In the instructions not to run it out of the water, my mistake, is there any way to fix it?

It could have warped inside due to the heat. Can you turn the impeller by hand or is it stuck?

It was working fine until literally the second it was out of the water

You can plug it in under water and hold the impeller next to it on the outside and see if you feel the impeller vibrate.
also, Plug the pump in when it is in water with just the impeller. See if you can jump start it like a airplane. If you can get it going that way, then put it together and try it.
