Fluval PS1 skimmer

Hello, I have a newly cycled tank with only 2 fish and 4 crabs at the moment. I have been running a protein skimmer for 7 days and I still have a ton of bubbles going all over my tank. Is there anything I can do to reduce this or does it just have to run it's course and it will eventually stop? I would like to add another fish in 2 weeks but I'm not sure I should until the skimmer works as it should...any advice/feedback/tips would be greatly appreciated!
