Fluval Sea 3.0 light, comment if you own this?

Hi all,

I have purchased this light fixture for my Roma 240 as it fits under the lid, now I’m wondering if anyone else has used this. As now I am just trying to setup a lighting schedule and colour schedule to keep the zoas I’ve purchased happy and thriving in the tank. Anyone who has this please help me.

I used to have one. Its one of fluvals few decently priced products. The app is a nightmare, but other than that its a great light.

I’m just trying to get the colour right. And the hours the lights on as most presets are 12hrs.

I wished the was a little more control.

if you ask anyone the controls are awful. but once you get it it works well. The bad control was the main reason i replaced it. anyways what problems are you having with it?

I’m just trying to get a schedule for it that suits the correct amount of light needed. As I have zoas in it and the blue sea mode just promoted algea to grow on the glass and the small amount of hair algea has gone up.

I had this on a 30 gal. It worked pretty good. I used the deep sea glow preset, and adjusted the power from 100% to 95% and I changed the timer setting so it was only on for 8 hours and saved it. But my anemone wasn’t the biggest fan, so I used the colour boost preset and did the same process as I mentioned and all my corals loved it including my nem. Also, a lot of my corals were small frags that I watched grow great using it! Honestly I’d probably still be using it if I didn’t switch to a cube aquarium.

I’m sorry, but this light I had up until last month to which it was good for starting with but once you see the colours you can achieve with a better light you will start to think about how much you wished you didn’t get the fluval sea. I got the evergrow IT5080 I’ver a 4 ft tank it’s Amazingly good. Colours pop in the mornings and evenings as I’ve set it to see things like zoas.
