I have had a Fluval SP6 return pump for about a year and a half. I cleaned it the other day and it seems louder than before. Does anyone have experience with these pumps and their noise levels? Thinking I will take it apart again to make sure things look right but there is not mych to it really.

Not sure if you tried to fix it or not. Like you mentioned, not really much to it.
It is a pain, but like you said- pull it and break it down and rebuild it. If Possible test run it in a large bucket or something first before putting back to be sure it is fixed unless, it is easy to access. My pump is a killer to get in and out. That’s why I never clean it
A few tricks to help reduce pump noise if you haven’t come across them. Silicone mat under the pump and if you have the pump hard lumber in. A piece of vinyl hose between the pump and pvc.
