Fluval SP6 or SP4 pump

Looking to buy one of these pumps to run my reactors, UV & Nu-Clear filter. Is the SP6 overkill, or could I get away with the SP4? The pump will be in my sump, running 3 reactors, UV and the nu-clear filter. Everything right next to the sump as well.

SP4 is probably fine. They are quite powerful. They can handle some back pressure too.

What size tank? I know of two people with sub 300 gallon tanks and sold the SP6 because they were too much for their system.

400 gallons, but this is only for the manifold, so I am thinking the SP4 would be more than enough.

The SP4 is a brute of a pump, I used it on my 120 gallon tank with a horrible return system so it can not handle flow, this pump was way to big for a return pump. What about a Eheim 1262 pump?

It’s all about how much water flow you need. No blanket statement. Especially since you are running a uv. Very specific gph requirement per application
