I'm looking to set up a pico in my classroom with zoas, GSP, and xenia. I saw the Fluval spec V at seaside yesterday and I liked the size of it. My concert is with the LED. Has any one used this tank for softies successfully?

In the description it doesn't say anything about being able to house corals so I'm sure you can probably get away with some softies like zoas, xenias, mushrooms, and gsp but I recommend the fluval evo since that's the fluval kit that's meant for saltwater tanks and coral.

I grew zoas and mushrooms in mine with the stock light before I upgraded.
The problem (for me) was the lid. It had the hole in the middle where the light shines in-made the screws in the light fixture rust within 2 months.

I liked the tank-small but it had room for improvised filtration.
The screws just irritated me a little.

its actually not very big BUT I was able to fit a sponge on one side (verticle) by the overflow to the return pump and chemipure. Thats all you really need in a tank that small anyway.
One side note, there is a hole in the black part that is an "oops" in case you drain too much water-so the return pump doesnt burn up. Youll want to superglue or epoxy it. My sand was always getting into the wrong places. Photo attached.
