Hi, I’ve read a few things about this but i can’t seem to figure it out myself. Anyways i have a fluval mini skimmer and it is creating soo many micro bubbles. I’ve tried turning the air intake and value but i can’t seem to get them to stop. It’s been a while with it in my tank as well about 2 weeks. I expected it to stop after one. I also no it’s suppose to have bubble up to the bottom of the collection cup but I can seem to get it to go below half.

In the picture it is very fine bubble because i can’t get it to not overflow with more dense bubbles.

Is this setup new? My used setup did the same thing for about a month. The microbubbles did eventually go away and it does work fairly well now. Give it time and aim for water level to just top of skimmer neck (if you pull off collection cup you can adjust easier). Good luck!

Yes, it is cycled and everything but it’s a new tank. I upgraded about 3 weeks ago. So that might be why. Do you mean tank water go to the top of the neck like the clear part where it goes out a little, or where the clear part starts?

If you pull off the collection cup, turn the dial until the water level is at the top of the skimmer body. You will see it rush over the skimmer body or barely run off if you have it just right. Then reinstall collection cup. That's where mine works best anyways.
