Fluvsl nano filter question

I've been running a fluval nano 13.5 and at first the water being pumped out of the filter section would have bursts of bubbles. This has stopped. Does anyone know why? And how do I get them back?

I do not. Typically you don't really want bubbles in the sump area. By chance are you running the Mini protein skimmer?

I am, but the bubble would come from the nozzle into the tank. They weren't in the sump area. It seemed to be a function of the water circulation pump.

I've cleaned out the foam filter by the impeller, hut that hasn't changed anything.

It could be micro bubbles from the skimmer (which happens every now and then).
