After getting some helpful tips and information, I wanted to say hello to you all and thank you. I am surrounded by people that is as passionate as me about aquatic life.

A quick run down of my set up I purchased used. (I know now! )

90 gallon (48x24x18)
3-4 inch sand bed
80 lbs of rock (maybe more)
1 aqueon powerhead (1650 gph)
1 jacod cp-55
30 gallon sump with live sand and miracle mud
HOB octopus ps
Look to have some type filter media that will be replaced.
No heater (it took a dump)
No light (it took a dump)
No controllers
The only live stock I have in there is a few snails (not familiar with the name of those) few blue leg crabs, and one coral banded shrimp.
On the way to come are 2 AI primes, finnex hmx 300 watt heater.

If any one have any suggestions to hardware or precautions to use please let me know.

Thanks again

PS the guy i purchase the set up from said he didn’t have time for the tank any more.

Welcome aboard :D

Welcome to R2R!!! I would suggest either 2 150w or 200w heaters, that way you have redundancy in case one heater go's bad.

Ask any reefer here and truthfully, you really don't spend that much time on maintenance, its the perception of having to do maintenance that makes it feel like its a lot, I actually enjoy it as you can connect to the tank.

Welcome home, you will love it here!

For me, I create work for myself by sticking difficult fish and many of them in my tanks. It can be much less work if you do your research and don’t overdo it! :)

Nice setup, keep us posted with your progress with tons of photos! :)
