Hello! I don’t know how to describe what I’m looking at other than a mountain of foam coming out of one of my filter socks. Can someone help me figure out why? The tank has been running maybe a week now, but I added loads of bioballs live rock water etc from other tanks to get it cycled quickly. Shortly after I added a single damsel, a hand fed him small amounts of food. Yesterday, I added a fox face and a diamond back goby and did a larger, but by no means ridiculous feed. Today is the first day I’m noticing the foam.
Thank you:)

Do you have a lot of turbulence in the filter sock? If the sock is dirty and there is a bit of turbulence, you just created a protein skimmer in your sock. ;)

I just replaced it yesterday, I guess I could switch it out and see. thank you :’)

Is the drain pipe below the surface of the water in the skimmer or just above the water line? I'm thinking the water from that drain is churning up some bubbles. Could be wrong.

It’s just below the surface of the water.
