I did a chemiclean treatment a week ago. Treated on Friday did 20% water change on Sunday. My problem now is extreme foaming in filter sock and skimmer. I removed filter sock yesterday but still can’t even turn skimmer on turned all the way down. I can restrict air intake to skimmer and it’s perfectly set, remove air plug and skimmer fills with foam in a few seconds. Need to get my skimmer running please help

Turn down the flow to start. You will be able to run & slowly increase flow day by day.
If you have turn down the air then so be it.

I had the same issue. Took a month for the foam to get to reasonable levels. Water changes and carbon.

Normal, the foaming will abate with time.
It is important to maintain oxygenation after chemiclean; for this reason i left my skimmer going at full capacity, and just removed the collection cup and covered with plastic wrap to avoid any spraying.

Okay so I’m still struggling. I’m using a standard durso kit with adjustable down pipe. If I were to eliminate the adjustable section go from the 1 1/4 pipe out to 1 1/2 make my own u section at top would that help with my air bubbles and noise and if so do I need the two holes in tee.
