Can anyone tell me if I need to put foam or an aquarium mat under my tank? It only has a frame on the top. It sits on the frame. Opinions??

Gonna get mixed reviews here. So technically if the manufacturer says it’s ok to put foam under the tank then do it. If not then it could void the warranty. If not then just make sure stand is level and tank is level as well before filling.

I use yoga mats under my tanks and dont have issues. You can get thin ones for less than $20

I use yoga mats made the mistake of placing a rimless tank on a wooden side board that obviously wasn't level, 24 hours later the bottom panel cracker and I heard water gushing luckily I was sitting next to the tank and my cat alerted me to the situation

Typically you only use a mat under a rimless tank

I second what @Redfoxtang said, the warranty should say if a pad is required. It may require a specific kind of pad. Mine required a cellular support pad (the one sold by the tank builder).

would it be ok to use 2 yoga mats under my 150sc flat bottom. Not sure whether to use one yoga mat or two together for more thickness

I would just use 1/2” foam board to be honest. Should get plenty of support and thickness.
