Hello everyone this past weekend I purchased a second hand aquarium from a local hobbyist . The tank is 180g 72x24x24 built by miracles. Tank is rimless at the top and has a plastic rim at the bottom. The previous owner had a piece of foam in between the bottom of the tank and the stand. He was adamant about me using the foam as well. My question is the foam necessary if the bottom of the tank has trim all around ? Thank you for any input . The tank is currently empty And I wanted to confirm if I should remove the foam before I proceed with my build over the next few months . I have included photos.

Any idea of the manufacturer? Give them a call if possible - it’s not worth risking it over random advise on a forum. That being said my custom miracles rimless tanks have a small plastic bottom brace and they instructed me to use foam.

Edit: Ah is see it’s a miracles like my two tanks. I still suggest giving them a call but at least their webpage gives you a hint.
