Foam Wall Instructable - A Full How-to, Step-by-Step Guide

Alright this is where I'm at right now I've gotta let this dry so I can flip it onto its back and start going higher up on the back I think I may do those leaves on the top half of that side so it's almost like a tree branch leaving down in the water then do some caves and more rockwork on the right side since I have a pothos plant in the tank the roots will hang down on that side (this is for a betta tank not a reef btw) take it easy on me this is my first one lol lol

If this one turns out ok I'll go get some rock and do one for my reef

I believe they're silk or some other type of similar fabric so they should be alright I would think

10 gallon and ya they should there will be a bunch of pothos roots on the right side too I'm excited for it this thing wasn't all that bad to make though I figured it'd be harder to do hmm side business lol

So I used the same epoxy you did and after putting it on I was reading the package and it said not recommended for prolonged use in water I wonder if that'll cause any issues

It will probably break down over time, not sure how long, but I wouldn't think it would cause any problems though.
Cliff has had his going for 10 years and I believe he used epoxy as well.
The foam is also not meant to be fully submerged according to the can, but then again, there are some old walls still in great shape.

In all reality, the average time someone holds onto a tank isn't very long, so chances are you'll upgrade before you might see any problems. Everyone wants s bigger tank! Lol

The foam said safe for fish do I'm not worried about it and I'm not really all to worried about the epoxy leaking anything I'm running carbon in the betta tank so that should take care of anything leaking down the road as to upgrading probly not this tank 10 gallons is good for the 2 of them lol

Those are gonna be some luxury living Bettas! Looks great! Waiting to see the tanks set up with the spoiled Bettas!!:D

I'll get some better pictures when it gets dark and theres less glare

Looks great!

Really liking the clay pot in the wall - would be a great idea for a reef tank for those who don't want an anemone for their clowns.

Thanks and ya that would i think it'd look allot better with natural gravel or sand and none of those decorations but it's my son's tank so I don't get to make those decisions lol
