Just started two nano tanks last week using Tropic Marin Pro letting them cycle no light for 2 months or longer. What is with the foam with any or surface turbulence? Started skimmer after a week just to see how it works wow what a mess!

Not exactly sure where you’re saying your foam is coming from, but I think you mean your skimmer. They go through a break in period and it probably just needs to be tuned down.

Any surface turbulence, splashing air etc causes foam.

Sorry, that’s definitely something I’ve never experienced. I aim for high surface agitation and don’t have a problem. You definitely have the ocean in the house down if you have breakers in your tank. The only thing that has caused my skimmer to go nuts was medication. I honestly cant give you any educated advice and don’t want to mislead you. If your cycle was completed I would recommend carbon and tuning your skimmer, but since it hasn’t it’s hard for me to say. I just don’t want to give you bad advice when I don’t know, sorry and good luck.
