Last Tuesday the power went out because we had hurricane force wind storm. The temperature dropped into the 40s. I didn’t have a battery back up. I was afraid I would lose everything in my tank. After 4 days the power came back on. Thanks to some great advice from fellow reefers I got a battery operated air pump. I only lost one fish and things are getting back to normal. Thank you for your help and support.

I’m definitely looking into buying a back up generator.

Many reefers have battery systems to provide 12 or 24vdc if your equipment runs on that
Honda makes a good generator, quiet and relatively clean power.
