On certain forums the font is so small I can't read it. On others it is normal.

Why dat is?

I found out something interesting. If you put www. in the URL it shows the tiny font.
like https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/north-alabama-reef-club.183/

Leave the www. off and it's normal sized font. I tried that on several other sites and they don't do that.

It just does that on FireFox. IE and Chrome work fine.

Hope this helps.

Are you viewing the forums from a PC, MAC, smartphone?
What browser are you using IE (what version) Chrome, Firefox, Waterfox, safari, etc.?
From a Windows O/S, pressing CTRL + scroll-wheel will zoom in and out on browser font size.

I'm using a PC.

If you'll read the entire thread you'll see what browser I'm using. It is listed twice in this thread; in fact, it is listed as a quote of myself in the post that you quoted.

my mistake, too many threads open at once... give me a sec to confirm something.

well you can try this if you like:

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.

  • Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:

For Firefox versions previous to 29.0:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox"
    2014-05-19-12-51-13-44a50f.png
    button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
For Firefox 29.0 and above:

  1. Click the menu button
    2014-01-10-13-08-08-f52b8c.png
    , click help
    2014-01-10-13-10-08-eaa722.png
and select Troubleshooting Information. Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox"
    2014-05-19-12-51-13-44a50f.png
    . Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I'll give that a shot when I get a chance. I wonder why it only does this on R2R?

I don't think it's an R2R issue, I have this page in all 3 browser and the encoding of fonts is displayed correctly... from left to right, firefox, chrome, IE... font encoding plays a part in website development.

If it's not an R2R issue, why do you think it only does this on R2R? Huh, why dat is?

browser settings.

I have the utmost respect for R2R, David, Gabriel, and all the other mods but when somebody tells me it is not an R2R issue if just demonstrates that whoever says that is missing the obvious. Here is a list of the sites from my FireFox history for today:

quibids.com
reef2reef.com
weather.com
tvguide.com
finance.yahoo.com
en.wikipedia.com
google.com
statcounter.com
states.flagcounter.com
harrysfrags.com
racing.fantasysports.yahoo.com
sports.yahoo/blogs.com
abcnews.com
foxnews.com
nbcnews.com
golf.fantasysports.yahoo.com
sports.yahoo.com
reefcentral.com
invest.ameritrade.com
electricarticles.com

The only one that is displaying that problem is R2R. I don't intend to argue with you people. I was only trying to let you know that there is still a kink somewhere in the new forum software. I don't know what it is but to deny that it is a problem with R2R is ... well ... I'm done!

Hi Harry and thanks for the post. We need to get whatever is effecting you figured out because it may be effecting others as well. Is there any way you could grab a screen shot for me?

I'm also pinging one of our site developers on this as well.

Ok Harry looking in to it!
