I understand that good food is very important in getting clowns to spawn, I wanted to know if this is a good diet, I switch the food every day, I have omega one garlic enriched flakes one day, the I feed frozen brine, then omega one first flakes without garlic, then frozen mysis

I feed my clown live Black worms, mysis, fish oil soaked pellets and fresh clam cut thin w/ razor blade. I dont use any flake at all. A few clowns are dont like it all so I also gut load ghost shrimp with the above and feed that loaded shrimp to the fish.
What type of clowns do you have? I have a pair of Wyoming Whites and a pair of Mccullochi clowns both pair currently in grow out.

I have a pair of Percs, a pair of balck oynx, a pair of occelarris one white one black, a Picasso with a mocha occelarris, they're all in spectate tanks so no worrying, I'll see what pics are on my phone

So jealous of all your clown pairs.....def my favorite fish!

Thanks! I'm getting a 270 which I'm going to separate with acrylic, the dimensions are 96x36x17 I will divide it into 1 foot in length, 3 feet front to back, and 17 inches tall, I will be adding 9 more pairs! I'm getting the tank in 9 months, the clowns in around 1 year

You'll want to be using foods very high in proteins and oils. I would ditch flakes (while attempting breeding) and go to a food like Rogger's Reef Food or Rod's Food. Both foods have great all around nutrition and will certainly fatten fish up enough to produce healthy eggs. When I bred clowns I would also offer copious amounts of squid eggs a couple/few days prior to the female laying (note that Rogger's nor Rod's existed at that time). The quality of eggs laid is absolutely directly correlated to the quality of food the female is provided.

Thanks! How much does this food generally run? The only lfs that carries it is closed till wens

Generally around $15-$20/6oz bottle. With mine I go through one bottle every two weeks. There are other brands. All must be refrigerated. Check your LFS for a fridge near the cash register. Most cary one line or another. There's also an oyster egg blend and a few others. Go the natural food route vs the pellet/flake route.

E two weeks is due to the multiple clowns right? It'd last longer for just two right?

Well all the fish and corals in your tank will eat it but if your clowns are sectioned off than yes.
Also these brands all make phytoplankton which is what you need to feed your pod population, although feedings can happen once every couple weeks so a $7 bottle of phyto will last a while.
