I bought an auto feeder and been testing it before I leave. I put flakes in it and most of the fish figured out how it works but the shrimp and fire fish don't seem to get any food. What would be a good way to get them feed? Thinking about mixing some sinking food in with the flakes. Any ideas?

I use a auto feeder- i crush up flakes(so it doesnt clog as often), sinking pellets and cyclops-eeze freeze dried flakes.
Another nice thing to have is a floating feed ring/station so the flakes have time to sink instead of floating on surface and going into the overflow
