Finally got a good shot of a bristle worm that made its way into my tank via fresh life rock.
He's about 15 to 20 cm long and about 1 cm to 1.5 cm across.

I love them and view them as a valuable member of the Clean Up Crew. In fact I am worrying about not getting any in my live rock stock. Does anyone sell them?

I have the same problem. This place sells them and spaghetti worms. If you order them let me know how it goes.

Nope. Kill it with fire.

Yes, I know they're good clean-up crew. However, I remove any that get more than about 4" long. Not a fan. They're just ocean centipedes that sting when you touch them.

My longest was 14" and about 2 months ago, my harlequin tusk pulled a 10" one I didnt even know i had and he ate it like a gummy worm

I keep hearing this but I pick them up by hand and have never been stung. Maybe my hands are just tough from wrenching for over 30 years :thinking-face:
I love em. I scooped a bunch of muck with bristle worms and other stuff (by hand lol) from the bottom of one sump and added it to a container of rubble to place in the sump of my latest build to jump start the population.

Don't touch them :) I do understand removing large ones.... But I too doubt the whole stinging things (some species withstanding).

I would love to have a handfull of that 'muck'. My central philosophy of reef keeping is Bio-Diversity!

Now that's a bristleworm! Makes me think of the fond memories of getting "bristled" by them over the years. Fun times!
