it is the store i shop at due to it being only an hr away from me and alot of people come on here with aptasia problems. thought i would be a nice guy and post this for those who dont want to go threw the hastle of treating there tank with kalk and all the other treatments that usully make ap spread

There is a mariculture facility closer to me that sells them for $19.99 but if you buy 6 or more they are $14.99 each. I haven't seen any cheaper than that but haven't bought any either. They are a pain to raise since they only eat aiptasia so you have to a tank set up to raise the pests to feed them. The babies will only eat really small ones and I'm not sure if the adults will eat the really big ones. I've thought about getting some but don't like the idea that when all the aipstasia is gone they starve and die. I could set up a tank to raise aips and sell them locally but not sure I want to mess with it.

I actually recently bought some of these berghia from Aquatic Connection. I have yet to receive them, hopefully this week. I paid quite a bit more though, $25.00 each for Adults. Frankly though, I tried researching online for better prices but all of the other companies selling them for cheaper were charging a heck of a lot for shipping! This company had free shipping so that helped. I wish we had a "mariculture" facility around, like you steamer51. Well actually, I know here in Florida there's quite a few places where the LFSs get their livestock but none of them are open to the public.

These berghia are kind of like my last hope against the aiptasia invasion I have in my 210g. I've tried peppermint shrimps and even a copperband. The peppermints disappeared, and the copperband was harassed and killed by my tangs. I've even tried chemicals like Aiptasia-X but it gets quite expensive buying bottle after bottle. My only concern is what everyone says about these berghia being so delicate and some even getting sucked up in your filtration.

ive got berghia nudibranches before and frankly yes they work but they take a long time to finish the job. months sometimes if you have a large aiptasia problem. my suggestion would be to just get some peppermint shrimp as they have always worked for me and much faster than berghia. berghia are very cool creature but they are tiny and if you have a large system they can take a very long time to get the job done where as peppermint shrimp will do it in less than half the time. although after they ate all my aiptasia i had to get them out with a trap because they started eating some of my corals because i dont feed my system that often. but for the price i will probably always go to peppermint shrimp if i ever have another aiptasia outbreak.
